Maddy is a year and a half and loves to feed herself, especially if it requires a spoon. Yogurt is one of her favorites as long as she can feed herself and practice a little finger painting as she eats.

Three Fabulous Years

We celebrated our 3rd anniversary by taking a trip to Pismo, last weekend. Let me just say that we had a fabulous time. Everything was amazingly perfect!

Ohhhh the high heels...

Maddy LOVES wearing her high heels all around our house, while carrying her purse and cell phone. We don't know where she gets this shoe fascination because neither of us enjoy shopping for shoes much less wearing shoes around the house!

Rain In June

Yesterday was Saturday, June 6th, the day of the Ronald McDonald House Walk, benefiting the local Bakersfield Ronald McDonald House. Nick and I walked it last year out at Lake Ming and it was hot! This year was different. This year it was held at CALM (California Animal Living Museum). So, when we opened our front door at 7:50 a.m. and stepped outside we were not expecting fabulously pleasant weather. But, it was, in fact it felt like we were at the beach. The air was cool and fresh and the sky had several clouds overhead. As we started to drive the trek across town to participate in the Walk for Kids event we realized that the clouds in the sky near CALM were dark and low and may possibly be raining. We were not prepared for rain. I assumed that it would be hot, so I dressed Maddy in a tank top, a skirt, and sandals. When we arrived at CALM it was raining. Luckily it only rained for about 30 minutes. The following are pictures from our morning at CALM.

May Madness

The month of May was jam-packed for our little family. Reilly turned 8, my friend Angela had her baby shower, my mom had her retirement party, my grandma turned 91, Uncle Steve turned 36, Grandma Betty had a birthday, Reilly started summer vacation, and we even celebrated Mother's Day. June has already begun and I am hoping that it is a little slower than May!
